Yama, my blue skinned anti-hero, was largely inspired from the asian god of the underworld. I wanted to give him a larger than life foe, so my opportunity to create a dragon was an excellent choice for myself.
The scene was modeled in max and z-brush. It was rendered out in several passes and then composited and painted in PS.
